The Ethiopian Science Museum is part of Phase 2 of the Sheger Beautification Project. This state-of-the-art science and technology center came to life in record time. Sprawling across 7 hectares of land, the museum shares the same allure as other Sheger beautification projects with its adorned green fields and flower terraces. Besides enhancing the country's image, this museum serves as a hub of inspiration for scholars dedicated to advancing science and technology, fuelling the aspirations of future generations. Its facilities include permanent and temporary exhibition rooms, a design laboratory, research spaces, rooms for hosting special guests, control rooms, cozy cafes, and various other services. At the heart of the museum lies a groundbreaking feature for our nation: a planetarium. Towering 24 meters tall, this remarkable structure allows visitors to grasp the mysteries of space in a comprehensible manner. With a capacity of 200 guests at a time, the planetarium showcases captivating 3D videos and enlightening documentaries. Since its inauguration, the museum has housed numerous temporary exhibitions and welcomed millions of visitors through its doors.
